Happy July! Salt and Sage Books editors are writers, too. Many of us are too busy in November to participate in NaNoWriMo, and count on summer to get ahead on our various projects and make verbal hay.
If you have a project you’d like to dust off, this week is a great time to start! We’d love you to join us in chipping away at writing projects with a little work every day. You can hang out with us, sign up for Camp NanoWriMo, or both.
Camp NaNoWriMo focuses on a daily count of 1,667 words for a victorious finish at 50,000. Traditionally people will write a short novel, but progress on other projects is great, too. And if you don’t care about officially winning the NaNo prizes, you can just set a goal of writing for 20-30 minutes a day. Every little bit helps! Sign up here.
Some people would love to participate in the fun feeling of working alongside other writers, but they don’t have a project in the works that lends itself to short bursts of daily productivity.
That’s ok. There’s a lot of value in just jumping in and establishing a daily writing habit. We’d love to help you make that happen–we all could write a little s’more, amirite?
We here at Salt and Sage Books love working with writers like you so we can build a generous, inclusive writing community together. If you sign up for Camp NaNoWriMo and use our daily prompts lists–here, here, here, and here–you can easily hit the daily 1667 wordcount target, win NaNo, and have fun with us in the process. Nothing but win.
We’d love for you to join our Facebook sprint group! We’ll keep it going all through July. See you there!
