Our June Memoir Soiree got a huge positive response! We were utterly delighted to help so many different people get started on writing their personal histories. It was especially exciting to see our prompts reach emerging writers and people who don’t usually consider themselves writers. This is the kind of community-building magic we’re all about!
We wanted to keep the same cheerful encouragement that we offered all through June, and also extremely doable list of daily prompts that are equally good for personal history or interviewing someone else. But we wanted to take all that to the next level.
That’s why we decided to create our Salt and Sage Books Custom Memoir Package.
A custom package includes a list of prompts tailored to the life of the memoir’s subject. Are you an immigrant? In the military? Do you have a big family, or did you create a big business? Do you have a deep connection to the place where you live?
Whatever is important to you, we’ll create questions that will address those things, to keep making it fun and easy to make a personal history. These questions will be a great way for you to ponder on your own life, or interview someone you love. I know this would have made my grandpa’s day, to get to sit and talk about the old days. It’s a wonderful way to show love
These custom packages are truly custom–do you need someone to help you get started? We can attach one of our Book Coaching packages so you can have the extra guidance you’re looking for.
Do you want a published personal history? We can do that, too! We’ve got self-publishing packages that take care of editing, formatting, and cover design.
What this means is that, with our Custom Memoir Package, you could have an actual published copy of your memoir in your hands within just a few months.
This would make an amazing family gift–you could get personalized interview questions for yourself or a relative, and once you’ve completed answering the prompt list, we can work editing magic and help take you through the self-pub process, so that you can then give everyone copies of beautifully packaged precious memories.
If you want to spread out the process, this custom package would be great for two holidays–first, the interview; and then, next year, giving copies of the finished history.
